CranioSacral Therapy

CranioSacral Therapy was pioneered and developed by Dr. John E. Upledger after extensive scientific studies from 1975 to 1983 at Michigan State University. It is a gentle, hands-on approach to evaluating and enhancing the craniosacral system, which comprises the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord.

There are 8 cranium bones: frontal, parietal, temporal, occipital, sphenoid, and ethmoid. They are held together by cranial sutures. The sutures are dense fibrous tissues that are mostly made of collagen. Additionally, we have 14 facial bones, and 26 spinal vertebrates. From my experience, there’s an inherent rhythmic motion produced by the cerebrospinal fluid movement.

I received CranioSacral Therapy in one of the Upledger workshops. It taught me how to quiet down my busy mind and tune into my body. This work gives me the opportunity to listen with my hands. This is a clothed session, suitable for every age. Sign up to improve your whole-body health.
